Statement

My work explores themes inspired by some visual and narrative codes from 1980-90s science fiction. These codes appear both in film (such as Alien by Hans Ruedi Giger) and in graphic novels (The Metabarons by Jodorowsky). These themes deal with notions of contamination and control, with interconnected forms that merge and infiltrate each other. These concepts resonate with movements like Surrealism, as well as with contemporary art practices. My artistic approach is multidisciplinary, involving sculpture (especially ceramics), drawing and painting. I create connections between these mediums, whether in the form of installations or by integrating them directly into my individual pieces.
